Who is the IoS?

The Institute of Swimming has an educational branch which delivers ASA courses for aspiring swimming teachers and coaches. We give you all the information and advice you need, making us the largest trainer of swimming teachers and coaches in England.

What do you teach?

IoS courses include the UKCC/ASA in Coaching levels 1 to 3, 1 and 2 in Teaching Aquatics, in addition to various teaching certificates in swimming for people with disabilities, adult and child, aquatic fitness, and more. We also provide National Curriculum training for primary school teachers who need to teach swimming to their pupils. All our courses focus on safety, swimming technique, and excellence of teaching quality.
