2 August 2010

The pricing structure for ASA coaching and teaching qualifications has now come into effect.

From 1st August 2010 the recommended retail price of Level 1 courses increased from £370 to £395; Level 2 has gone up from £650 to £680 and Level 3 course costs have increased by £100 to £1,900.

Emma Phipps, Performance and Standards Manager at the IoS, said “We review and evaluate our courses in terms of quality and value for money on an ongoing basis. Following feedback from candidates and key stakeholders we are pleased to say that we have been able to incorporate additional resources into the new course price.

“With effect from 1st August this year, all candidates on UKCC Level 1 and Level 2 courses, that booked their course after the 1st August, will receive the ASA Swimming Teaching & Coaching textbook (at the appropriate level), along with the existing course resources. As well as an invaluable learning aid to enhance candidates’ knowledge, the textbook is a transferable resource that can also be used to enhance the delivery of teaching and coaching sessions.”

Candidates can continue to access a range of funding options for their studies, details of which are available here.
