Fran HalsallMy first memory

"I learned to swim when I was really young. I hated it when I first started. I was about three. I gave up didn’t go back to swimming until I was eight actually. But there has been no looking back since then."

Did you get badges and certificates as a child?

"I got all the badges and the frog badges as well. They are all in a folder which my mum has got. I use to love getting them. Being competitive I had to have the most badges!"

Learning to swim has led to Fran breaking a range of British Records. Click here learn more about her record breaking career so far.

A few more things you may not know about Fran

  • Who would play you in a film of your life? Why? Kate Moss. Because she is cool! It would be a comedy.
  • What don’t we know about you? I have seven pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes.
  • What is the highest number of press ups you have done in a single session? How many you want me to do. Will just keep going. I’m pretty good at chin ups also.
  • How long can you hold your breath under water? Not very long. I cannot do 50 metres at the moment, but I am working on it!
