Liam TancockMy first memory

I went to learn at a swim school when I was five in Exeter. I remember watching my brother take a lesson and couldn’t wait to get into the pool myself. Because of this I found that I love to race. And now I put myself up against the best in the world.

Did you get badges and certificates as a child? How did it feel to receive them?

I went through the all the different levels and things. I always wanted to go for the next one to show I could get it. We had a pin board at home which we put them all on.

Learning to swim led to Liam last year breaking British, European and World Records in 50metre back stroke. Click here learn more about his record breaking career so far.
