With the dust settled on last month’s European Masters Championships, attention switches to the upcoming national Masters open water events in England, Wales and Scotland.
The Welsh National Open Water Championships are the first of the three events, taking place at Parc Bryn Bach in Tredegar on 2 July 2016.
The Championships will include an elite age group race of 5,000m for 17&Overs as well as an open 1,500m event for 15&Overs.
Entries close at 3pm on Friday 10 June.

The ASA National Masters Championships takes place at Rother Valley Country Park near Sheffield on 23 July.
There are 1,500m and 3,000m races for Masters swimmers, as well as a 1,500m challenge for newcomers to open water swimming.
Why not try both the non-wetsuit 1.5k and then the 1,500m challenge in a wetsuit and compare your times?
Entries close on 1 July 2016.
