Swim North West Masters Distance Meet

World, British and European records were broken this weekend at the Swim North West Masters Distance Meet held at Wigan Life Centre on the 22 February.

Judith Hattle of Carlisle Aquatics won gold in the 400m Individual Medley, 55-59 yrs.

She broke both European and British records with her time of 5:51.61, and set the first regional time for this event age group.

Les Church of Chester Academy SC broke his own regional record in the 400m Individual Medley.

Church swam over two seconds under his previous record. He touched in 5:11.47 in the 40-44 yrs age group.

New Zealand’s Kirsten Cameron achieved world and European 1500m Freestyle records in the  40-44yrs age group, touching just under three seconds under her own previous world record.
