Swimathon makes a Big Splash in 2012
13th September 2011
Swimathon, the world’s biggest fundraising swim is about to get even bigger, joining forces with British Swimming’s and BBC’s Big Splash; Marie Curie Cancer Care; and Sport Relief to promote what is hoped will be the biggest Swimathon Weekend ever.
The Swimathon Weekend 27-29 April 2012, will give thousands of swimmers the opportunity to raise vital funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care through the traditional 2.5k, 5k or Team 5k challenges, and for Sport Relief through the new ‘Big Splash Mile for Sport Relief’.
The event will be hosted in 600 pools across the UK and will provide swimmers with a personal challenge, a goal to train for and great causes to support. The Swimathon Weekend 2012 also marks Swimathon’s 25th anniversary.
