Dominic and I are continuing to enjoy our weekly lesson at the local pool when I use that half-hour for some lane swimming.

Well our little Dominic is now not so little – he is definitely no longer a toddler and has become a proper little boy now over the summer holidays. Probably to do with turning the grand old age of three.

Dominic has made great progress in his swimming lessons since my last blog, he really is coming on leaps and bounds – quite literally! Jumping in is still a big favourite he now tries to leap as high in the air as possible, to make the biggest splash possible!

Welcome to my monthly blog as the parent of a feisty two-year-old and read our adventures as he enthusiastically embarks on his learn to swim journey.
This month - great news! Hold the front page! Dominic has achieved his first Duckling badge. He finally managed to traverse across the pool on his back which was his final hurdle. Well done Dominic! He was so proud to receive his ASA certificate and badge.

Since my last update our aquatic experiences have been a bit restricted. Lesson attendance has been waylaid by a combination of illness, bad weather and cancellations. On the positive side though, we have been given free family swims to make up for it. What a great idea! We will definitely be using these.
