School Swimathon returns for a third outing after the success of the past two years and we’re looking to make it bigger than ever before! For this year, we are also delighted to announce that the School Swimathon is part of the ASA’s new School Swimming Charter.
Taking place throughout the school Spring term, schools will use their weekly national curriculum swimming lessons to build up to a final challenge session. Pupils will then challenge themselves to swim further than ever before!
Participating in School Swimathon will help schools increase swimming activity, raise the profile of curriculum swimming as well as supporting the ASA’s vision that every child should learn to swim before they leave primary school.
To inspire pupils to ‘Swim their Best’, all registered schools will receive a free swim cap for each child taking part and a wall chart for the classroom to track swimming progress, as well as downloadable posters and other support materials.
