Online advice for your swimmer’s parents

The Swim England website has a parent-specific section which has all the information a parent needs to help them throughout the Swim England Programme.

Parents can find out about the whole Learn to Swim Programme, explore the Swim England Awards available for children to collect and read blog content written for parents in the same situation as them.

Don’t hesitate to direct your parents to the section if they have questions about the Swim England Programme. You could also include a link to the website in your introduction packs for children and parents.

An Awards File to store Swim England Awards

This handy PVC file is perfect for swimmers to store their Swim England Awards and keep them in pristine condition. We get many questions from parents and providers of lessons asking where should the children store their Awards. This is it!

The file allows space for 16 Awards and includes a record of achievement to keep track of the Awards completed so far.

Pre-School Swimmers Story Books

To support your delivery of the Pre-School Framework, Swim England has two story books to help young children understand what it’s like to prepare for swimming lessons, and demonstrate basic swimming skills.

Swim England Story Books

Lucy and Sammy learn to swim with Swim England is about a brother and sister who are about to take their first swimming lesson. It shows their journey from buying new swimming costumes, to getting in the water and receiving their first badge and certificate.

Discovery Duckling and Friends show us how to swim helps children swim through Discovery Duckling and a range of animal friends. Throughout the 16-page book they demonstrate the different skills needed in swimming from Piper the Penguin floating on his front, to Skipper the Sea Lion using his flippers to help him travel through the water.

These are perfect for swimming teachers and parents to support babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers at the beginning of their own swimming story.
