Expanding on our home-based Fran Halsall Core Exercises widget, our Grant Turner widget guides you through gym exercises designed to maximise the benefits you get from swimming.
Grant will show you which exercises train which muscles as you strengthen your body to improve your performance in the pool.
Using the widget couldn't be easier.
- Choose the exercise
- Pick your level through the traffic light system. Green is for beginner, Amber for intermediate and Red for Grant level.
- Start exercising
Just because you are not swimming doesn't mean you can't work on improving your performance. So get down to the gym and give it a go!

Beanson Toast from East AngliaGreat idea to put together a set of exercises that assist with swimming. However, I would have liked to have seen a set of exercises that could have been done at home with a couple of barbells and a bench. In these tough economic times, it is a lot cheaper than going to a gym.
