Swimfit steers competition winner to prize
British Gas Swimfit and Speedo teamed up at the recent Leisure Industry Week (LIW) trade show to offer one lucky winner the chance to win a Speedo Aquabeat, waterproof MP3 player.
The winner, picked at random from all who signed up to www.swimfit.com at the show was Kate Steer, from Flitwick Leisure Centre in Bedfordshire.
I feel that Swimfit is a product that would benefit my customers and get them swimming more often.
Kate is Sports Coordinator at the Centre, which is managed by Stevenage Leisure Limited (SLL). Established in 1998, SLL manages a total of 16 leisure facilities for four councils, with over 800 members of staff.
The Leisure Industry Week trade show, which took place from 21st – 23rd September 2010, is held annually at the NEC in Birmingham and brings together leading specialists in the leisure sector.
Kate said: “I am delighted to win this prize, it was a lovely surprise to find out I was the competition winner. I had not attended LIW before and my centre manager believed it would be a good opportunity for me to meet and liaise with various companies including the ASA and other retailers and course providers in the leisure sector.
“Before attending the show I was not aware of Swimfit but having spoken with Lisa Simpson, County Swimming Coordinator for Luton and Bedfordshire, I feel that Swimfit is a product that would benefit my customers and get them swimming more often.”
