City of Bristol win 15-18yrs Combo on day two of NAGs Synchro

City of Bristol took the 15-18yrs Combo title after their interpretation of ‘Shake it Off’ by Taylor Swift.

They had some impressive elements within the routine, and made good use of the pool space. They scored a total of 58.9000 for the gold medal.

Collectively, the Bristol team commented: “It feels absolutely amazing to win gold, we’ve worked really hard all year and it’s really nice to see it all pay off. We ended the day on a real high note.”

Second place went to Halifax SC with 55.5000 for their Jungle Book routine.

They showed great presentation to the judges got plenty of height out of the water with their lifts and used some great changes in pace to complement the music choice.

Rushmoor took the final sport on the podium, claiming gold with a score of 55.3000 for their routine to ‘Divergent’.

Rugby take top spot in 13-14yrs Combo

Rugby Synchro put in an impressive performance in the 13-14yrs Combination event, donning purple costumes and swimming to the Beetlejuice Soundtrack.

The dramatic routine showed some great changes in formation, with the action flowing seamlessly throughout. They were awarded 56.5333 to take home the gold.

Second place went to City of Bristol SC who scored 54.2000 and just behind were Walsall with 54.0667. Walsall used the maximum number of swimmers, 10, and had a well-timed routine to the Bongo Song by Safri Duo.

Isobel Ogg said: “It feels amazing to win a gold medal, for most of us it’s our first or second nationals. We really worked well together as a team and we have amazing coaches.”

Reading Royals take gold in 12yrs and under Combo

Reading Royals showed their skill in the 12yrs and under Combo event. They had nice pattern changes in the routine, showing a good awareness of one another. They scored 53.1333 to top the podium.

City of Bristol took the silver medal for their rendition of Groove is in the Heart by Deee-Lite which got a great response from the crowd. They scored 52.1667.

Third place went to Walsall Synchronised Swimming Club, who scored 49.9000 for their ‘Muppets Show’ routine.
