England Talent athletes to represent GB in Japan

Synchronised swimmers Genevieve Randall, Jodie Cowie and Emma Critchley will be heading to Tokyo on Wednesday to compete in the 2015 Japan Open.

The competition runs from 2-4 May at the Tokyo Tatsumi International Swimming Centre. Competing as Great Britain, the England Programmes athletes will take part in the duet event.

ASA Synchronised Swimming lead Karen Thorpe said: “This will be the first time the duet has competed at a senior level since the European Championships last year and the first time they will have met competitors from the likes of USA, Canada and Japan.

“We are expecting the level of competition to be high which will be great experience ahead of the European Games in June and the FINA World Championships in July.”
