Entries open for the National Masters Champs

Entries are open for the Swim England Synchro National Masters Championships 2017 taking place at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre in Rugby on Saturday 4 November.

The National Masters Championships is the largest domestic synchronised swimming event for Masters. It brings together the excitement of a competitive swimming event, with lots of fun and camaraderie.

The event sees people of many different ages and abilities competing for national titles. From former elite synchro swimmers who still compete and win medals in World and European Masters events to people who have discovered the sport later on in life. Regardless of their background, this event caters for all.

Entries will remain open until Friday 13 October 2017 so make sure you get your entries in before the deadline.

Seymour Synchro dominate 2016 Champs

There was plenty to be excited about at the 2016 National Masters Championships. Seymour Synchro were the top performing club at the event, taking home a total of six gold medals.

Yixin Zeng took two titles for the club, winning the 25-29yrs Free Solo event, and then claiming the title in the Duet too with partner Giulia Escher.

Natasha Rukazenkova-Cleverly also helped Seymour to the top spot in a similar fashion. She won the Solo title in the 30-39yrs age group, then teamed up with Elizabeth Winter in the duet for her second win.

Rushmoor executed some impressive routines in the team events, winning gold in the 20-24yrs and 35-49yrs Free Team competition. April Poulter, Debbie Carpenter, Emma Adams, Georgina Gegg, Hayley Cornick, Holly Ramskir, Laura Atkins and Samantha Mattinson took the 20-24yrs, while Andrea Holland, Carla Sanders, Carolyn Macdonald, Grace Reukers, Rachel Davies and Sarah Beasley took the other.
