Kadrok and Khairul win 12yrs and under Mixed Duet gold

Milan Kadrok and Hadi Khairul won the 12yrs and under Mixed Duet event on day two of the Swim England Synchro National Age Group Champs.

The pair from London Regional SSC swam to De Nada by Beto Castillo, and executed the choreography well. They showed good understanding of the music, with some nice changes in pace and good movement around the pool. They scored 39.9000 for the gold medal.

Silver went to Heather Surley and Ranjuo Tomblin of Brighton for their interpretation of James Brown’s I Feel Good. Their performance scored 37.5667.

City of Swansea Aquatics’ Rosa George and Ioan Gravell received a commemorative medal, scoring 41.6333 as a guest entry.

Aquavision North London win 13-15yrs gold

Aquavision North London swimmers Anna Sagoo and Dilan Velani took the second gold medal in the Mixed Duet competition.

The pairing were up against Charlotte Jones and Oliver Warren of Henley SSC in a battle for the title.

Sagoo and Velani swam to Opening: I Hope I Get It by A Chorus Line Ensemble. The upbeat routine caught the attention of the crowd and the judges, and had lots of changes in pace.

They scored 43.2667 to take the top spot on the podium.

Jones and Warren were only a couple of points behind. Their Beauty and the Beast routine to music from the soundtrack saw them awarded 41.4661, to take home the silver medal.

Gold for Bramcote SC in 15-18yrs Mixed Duet

Orla and Ross Large were the only competitors in the 15-18yrs age group, but they came out and gave it their all.

They swam to the music from Fame, and scored well for their artistic impression. They took the gold medal with a score of 44.4667.

Orla commented: “It feels really good to get gold. We’ve only been training together for about four weeks. Hopefully we’ll get to some more competitions, but we haven’t got any planned yet.”
