About Katie Clark

Katie Clark’s talent was clear for all to see as an age group swimmer for Reading Royals, as she finished top for U12 Figures at the 2006 ASA National Age Groups, then teamed up with Kristina Holley for 13/14 Yrs Duet gold the following year.

Clark cut her teeth on the international stage with an appearance at the 2009 European Junior Championships in Gloucester, finishing 11th in the Duet with Cherry Wilson as well as starring for the British team in the Team and Combo events.

It wasn’t long before her call-up to the senior British set-up, and after appearances at the 2010 European Championships and 2010 World Cup, Clark was part of the GB team to win Team Combination bronze at the 2011 European Champions Cup in Sheffield.

She remained a key part of the senior GB squad for the next three years, competing at the World Championships in 2011 and 2013, and the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Clark returned to the sport at the end of the 2015 season, teaming up with fellow Olympian Olivia Federici in the Duet event, with the pair successfully qualifying for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Clark and Federici continued to improve in 2016, finishing eighth in the Duet Free at the London 2016 European Championships then 17th in the Duet at Rio 2016.
