Key synchro competitions in England

ASA National Championships

The ASA National Championships was held for the first time in May 2015, taking over from the discontinued British Championships.

The Championships sees the very best senior synchronised swimmers battling it out for the title of English domestic champion in Solo, Duet, Team and Free Combo events.

ASA National Age Group Championships

The ASA National Age Group Championships takes place in December and features more than 500 swimmers in action every year.

As well as competing for national titles, the Championships are usually the first stage in the selection process for the following season’s ASA Talent Programme.

There is also a recreational element to the Championships to encourage participation among swimmers who have not yet achieved the national skill levels required to participate in the main competition.

ASA National Masters Championships

The ASA Masters Synchronised Swimming Championships is the only chance for Masters synchronised swimmers to win honours on the national stage.

The event is for club swimmers over the age of 20 with competitors  grouped in nine-year age bands from 20-29 and upwards. Competitors have been aged 95+ in the past so it’s never too late to have a go!

Every year the event sees increasing numbers of competitors across the Solo, Duet and Team events and there is always a fun and informal atmosphere.
