Athletes from the England Programmes Synchro Training Squad 2016 are set to show off their skills at the ASA National Age Group Synchronised Swimming Championships from 4-6 December.
The 16 England Programmes Synchro swimmers will compete in the solo, duet and team events at the Championships, which will see competitors from 31 clubs compete at the GL1 Leisure Centre in Gloucester to be crowned national champions.
Among those competing is Bristol Central Duet pair, Kate Shortman and Isabelle Thorpe, who were recently named England Programmes Synchro Athletes of the Year at the ASA Aquatics Awards.
The Duet pair, who won gold in the 13-14yrs age group last year by over 12 points, will be looking to replicate their dominant performance as they head to Gloucester next month.
Also competing are Emma Critchley, Hannah Randall, Jorja Brown, Phoebe Bradley Smith, Rebecca Richardson, Danielle Cooper and Lara Hockin, who were all part of the Team GB synchro squad at the 2015 European Games in Baku.
Team GB finished ninth in the Team event and 10th in the Free Combination event at the Games and the seven competing swimmers will bring the invaluable knowledge gained from the multi-sport competition to the Age Group Championships.
The competition takes place from 4-6 December at GL1 Leisure Centre in Gloucester. Tickets for all three days are available on the door from Friday 4 December.
