New National Synchro Champs announced

ASA National synchronised swimming championships announced

The ASA has announced the addition of a new synchronised swimming competition to the 2015 calendar.

The ASA National Synchronised Swimming Championships will take place from 2-3 May 2015 at GL1 Leisure Centre in Gloucester.

“As well as providing athletes with an opportunity to compete for a national title, it will also be a fantastic showcase of English talent,” – Jenny Gray

The two day event will be open to swimmers aged 15 and above and will be the first time an English Championships has been held for synchronised swimming.

Jenny Gray, Manager of the ASA Synchronised Swimming Management Groups, said: “The ASA National Synchronised Swimming Championships is great news for the sport.

“As well as providing athletes with an opportunity to compete for a national title, it will also be a fantastic showcase of English talent.

“Synchronised Swimming is becoming ever more popular with over 600 young people taking part in last year’s British Gas National Age Group Championships. We hope the addition of this new competition will further encourage people to get involved, helping to continue the development of the sport.”

Entry information and conditions will be released soon – look out for more information on this Hub or on the event Calendar Page.
