Sinkbomb! It must be the Aquasplash Festival

Noodle races, float challenges, log rolls, water bombing and caterpillar ball games are just a few of the laughs to be had at Aquasplash, the fun water festival for anyone aged seven to 11 years.

“Are you ready? On my mark...sinkbomb!”

You jump off the side of the pool, tuck your legs up and bomb the water with a huge splash. You hold your breath for five seconds - one, two, three, four, five….

…You burst out of the water, climb on to the side and make it to the end of the pool ready to start the swimming-on-your-back egg and spoon race. Phew, welcome to the Aquasplash festival.

More about Aquasplash

Win prizes for blowing an egg flip across the water, or awards for push and glide or poolside exercises copying the movement of dives. You can win prizes for simple good sportsmanship and even help decide the points given to activities, or the games themselves.

Held in your local pool, Aquasplash represents all the major water skills: diving, swimming, water polo, and synchro. You can also learn and practice lifesaving skills and find out what it would be like to be a real lifeguard. It is also a chance for you to show off some of the water skills you have been developing.

To find out more about Aquasplash ask your parents to find out from your local pool when they will be running Aquasplash. Your school can also get involved, so ask your teacher for more information.
