The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Hook the duck competition winner

Our competition to celebrate the beginning of the British Gas Swimming Championships 2010 to hunt down the secret ducks hidden on the website now has a winner!

We had many hundreds of correct entries and from these the lucky winner is: Emma Longden, from Derbyshire.

Emma successfully found the four ASA ducks that were hiding out on particular pages of this website.  She identified that the four letters hidden by the duck when jumbled up spelt 'W-A-V-E'. 

Emma is now enjoying her competition prizes, including a shirt signed by Joanne Jackson, kit bags, an ASA pedometer and of course her very own ASA duck! Well done Emma!
