Nominations have opened for the Sport and Recreation Alliance’s Community Sport and Recreation Awards 2016.

The Community Sport and Recreation Awards showcase the very best that sport and recreation activities bring to communities up and down the country.

Running for over two decades, each year there are several categories of awards all designed to highlight the breadth of work that is undertaken in the community sport and recreation sector.

Community Sport and Recreation Awards 2016 categories

Nominations for the Community Sport and Recreation Awards 2016 will be open until 12 midnight on the 8 May and there are five categories available:

  • Professional Club Community Programme of the Year – £1,000 prize
  • Innovative Project Award – £1,000 prize
  • Youth Volunteering Award – £1,000 prize
  • Social Impact in the Community – £1,000 prize
  • Community Sport and Recreation Overall Award – £2,500 prize

Clubs, programmes and initiatives are encouraged to enter one or more of the five award categories.

The Community Sport and Recreation Awards 2016 are free to enter and each winner will receive a financial prize, with the overall winner set to receive £2,500.
