Entry pack released for NAG Water Polo Champs 2017

The Entry Pack for the ASA National Age Group Water Polo Championships 2017 was released today, 11 January.

Entries will open next week, Wednesday 18 January 2017, but in the meantime please download and read through the entry pack.

The championships will see boys and girls teams from across the country battling it out for national honours in the U19 and U17 age groups.

Entries for teams will close at 12 noon on Wednesday 8 February and cost £120 per team and £5 per late additional player. Additional player entries will open on Friday 10 February.

U17 and U19 Water Polo Championships dates

The competition begins with the prelim rounds in March. The teams who make it through the prelim and qualifying rounds will qualify for the finals.

The finals will take place on the 1-2 April for the girls and the 22-23 April for the boys’ competition.

The girls’ finals will take place at the Liverpool Aquatics Centre and the boys’ finals at Manchester Aquatics Centre.

Both the boys’ and the girls’ plate competitions will take place on the 22-23 April alongside the boys’ finals.

NAG Water Polo Championships 2016 winners

At the ASA National Water Polo Championships 2016 was an exciting and unpredictable event.

In the Boys U19 event, Exeter managed to hold off a determined Manchester side to take their first ever title in this event. London Otter also turned the tables in the Girl’s U19 final, taking a historic first win against City of Liverpool.

The U17 finals saw Sedgefield complete their undefeated record in the competition, beating City of Sheffield for the Boys title.

City of Manchester took the Girls title after holding off a persistent Exeter side to take the 2016 title.
