London Otter defeated City of Liverpool at their opponents’ home pool to claim the Girls’ U17 National Age Group Water Polo title.

Despite their U19’s defeat against City of Manchester earlier in the day, the younger squad kept their composure to secure a 14-7 win.

Katy Cutler showed her goal scoring prowess, taking six of the team’s 14 goals.

At the end of the first quarter the scores were level. Although Otter were first to strike, scoring a point at the hands of Cutler, Liverpool matched them goal for goal.

The second quarter was the game changer for the London side as they secured five points and conceded none. This gave them a comfortable lead at half time.

Although City of Liverpool’s Molly Boniface-Ashton totted up four goals, Otter took the win 14-7.
