Dan Paddon and Declan Thompson join MMU scholars

Dan Paddon and Declan Thompson have become the latest two England water polo players to receive scholarships for water polo at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Paddon was part of the Croydon Amphibians team who reached the U19 final of the ASA National Age Group Water Polo Championships earlier in 2015.

The 18-year old also helped the boys’ English Schools Swimming Association (ESSA) team to victory at the Exiles Invitational in Malta.

Thompson has played for the British senior team in recent seasons, including at LEN European Championship playoffs in Sunderland in 2013 and 2014.

The two men join Courtney Dean, James Williams and Bethan Grimes who have had their support packages at Manchester Metropolitan renewed for the 2015 / 2016 year.
