Sarah Dunsbee to lead Girls’ U17 Programme

Swim England have confirmed Sarah Dunsbee will lead the Girls’ U17 programme until the conclusion of the 2019 European Championships.

Dunsbee has a vast experience in water polo and is currently leading the Swim England Water Polo Coach Education Programme.

She is currently based in the East Midlands, coaching the regional teams as well as club teams at Hucknall, Nottingham Leander and Nova Centurion.

“I’m excited to be taking up this new role,” said Dunsbee. “I have a great young coaching team with Cara and Izzie, who we will be working with to develop them to lead programmes in the future.

“We’re aiming to support these athletes through to the next level of their career and develop their professionalism to compete on the European stage.”

Saunders and Howe named assistant coaches

Dunsbee will be assisted by Hucknall and Nova Water Polo coach Cara Saunders and Manchester Coach Izzie Howe

Saunders has coached in the North West and East Midlands and was assistant coach was the Midlands girls’ team won silver at the 2016 Inter Regional U14 Championships.

Meanwhile, Howe coached the North West Thunder girls’ team to the U14 Inter Regional title earlier this month.
