The university water polo club has close ties with Swansea Aquatics Water Polo Club, based at the 50m facility at Wales National Pool.

Swansea University offer both scholarships and individual bursaries for talented athletes.

Swansea University Water Polo Scholarships

Each year Swansea University offers several undergraduate entrance scholarships for outstanding students in their sporting activity.

Due to the intensity of competition for these awards, students applying for a Swansea University Water Polo Scholarship should have reached at least a national level.

Each scholarship is worth £1,000 per annum and is renewable for three years. Sports scholars are also assigned a supervisor to support them in maintaining a balance between sporting and academic achievement.

Students whose applications for a Swansea University Water Polo Scholarship are unsuccessful may apply, after enrolling with the University, for a Sporting Bursary, worth a maximum of £350 per year.

Sports Facilities at Swansea University

The UniGym at the Swansea University International Sports Village contains a range of cardio equipment including treadmills, upright and recumbent bikes, rowers, cross-trainers, vario-trainers, cross-wave machines, arm ergo bikes, a versa-climbing machine and a ski-erg.

There is also a wide range of weights and weights machines including dumbells, barbells, lifting platforms, power racks, benches and a Smith Machine.

The Swansea University water polo teams train and play at the Wales National Pool, also based at the university International Sports Village, which features a a flexible 50m pool and 25m pool.
