Edge Hill University Water Polo Scholarship

While Edge Hill University don’t currently run water polo teams, they offer three levels of sport scholarships to talented athletes.

Scholarships involve free membership to the university’s £30 million sport centre which includes a gym and pool.

Edge Hill University Water Polo Scholarships

There are three levels of Edge Hill University Water Polo Scholarships available with different benefits and qualification criteria.

Edge Hill welcome applications from talented and dedicated athletes from all sports recognised by Sport England – of which water polo is one.

The gold level of Edge Hill University Water Polo Scholarship includes a bursary of up to £1,000 towards training and competition costs. The gold package also includes free personal training, sports science support and access to strength and conditioning sessions and nutritional advice.

The silver level package offers a similar level of support with a maximum of £500 bursary while the bronze level does not include a bursary and involves University kit and gym membership.

Sports Facilities at Edge Hill University

All three levels of Edge Hill University Water Polo Scholarships include free access to the university’s £30 million Sport Centre, which opened its doors in September 2015 and is located on the Ormskirk campus.

The gym contains an 80-station fitness suite with in-built entertainment technology while there is also an exercise studio and 25m six-lane swimming pool with sauna and steam room at the same centre.
