Ulster University Water Polo Scholarship

Ulster University in Northern Ireland does not have an active water polo team. However, the university does offer sports scholarships through their talented athlete entry scheme.

The university has fitness centres on three different campuses while there is a 25m pool near the main Jordanstown campus.

Ulster University Water Polo Scholarships

Elite athletes are eligible to apply for an Ulster University Water Polo Scholarship as part of the university’s Talent Athlete Entry Scheme.

Successful applicants will be offered access to support services including fitness testing, strength and conditioning, physiotherapy support, performance development workshops and training / CPD opportunities.

Scholars will also receive Scheme merchandise and have full access to sports facilities through Ulster University Sports Union Club membership.

Through the Talented Athlete Entry Scheme, the university also allows a reduction in the UCAS points required for entry to full-time undergraduate courses.

Sports Facilities at Ulster University

Ulster University’s primary indoor sports facility is based at Jordanstown campus although there are fitness suites at both Coleraine and Magee campuses.

The Jordanstown facility features a Technogym Wellness Suite including the latest range of fixed and free Technogym weights and machines as well as a Technogym Kinesis Wall. There are also two strength and conditioning suites and acclimatisation chamber on site.

The nearest swimming facility to the Jordanstown campus is 25m pool at the Valley Leisure Centre.
