Warwick offer three levels of sports scholarships ranging from international to county level athletes.

University of Warwick Water Polo Scholarship

Athletes competing or training at an English / junior international level or higher are encouraged to apply for a University of Warwick Water Polo Scholarship through the university’s Student Sport Scholarship programme.

The University of Warwick has three levels of sports scholarship. Gold scholarship packages are typically reserved for athletes who have competed at senior international level with silver level packages for junior international standard athletes, and bronze for senior county level athletes.

Benefits of a University of Warwick Water Polo Scholarship include access to fitness testing, free performance workshops, nutrition advice, sports psychology, and strength and conditioning sessions.

A financial bursary may be provided, the amount of which is decided at the discretion of the scholarship panel, while gold scholars will also have access to weekly one-to-one personal training sessions.

Sports Facilities at the University of Warwick

While there are numerous indoor facilities on the University of Warwick campus, the primary fitness suites are at the main Sports Centre.

Students with a gold or silver level University of Warwick Water Polo Scholarship will receive free membership to the university gym and fitness suites.

The Lifestyle Gym has a range of Technogym equipment including treadmills, varios, synchros, upright and recline bikes, crossovers and an arm bike.

There is a Strength and Conditioning Suite in the Lifestyle Gym, containing benches, free weights and other strength and resistance equipment.

The university swimming pool is also based in the main Sports Centre and is a six-lane 25m facility.
