Water polo community mourns Len Badcock26/06/2015
With sadness we report the loss of Len Badcock, one of London and the South East’s most senior water polo and swimming officials, who passed away recently.
Len was Honourary Life President of Middlesex County ASA, President of the London Water Polo League in 2001 and a stalwart of London Swimming and the Southern Counties ASA, organising boards as well as being ever present poolside for polo matches and swimming events in the South East.
His national roles included positions with the ASA and British Swimming where his comprehensive knowledge of the relevant governing rules, and the clarity of his thought and expression were invaluable.
Len’s selfless dedication to the cause of aquatic sport, and his commitment to enabling amateur athletes to participate in competitive sport were an example to all, and he will be sorely missed.
Our thoughts are with his wife Marie and family at this time.
