City of Manchester out to defend U15 national title

City of Manchester's U15 girls team from the 2014 ASA NAG Water Polo Champs

Last year’s ASA National Age Group Water Polo Championship (U15) winners City of Manchester have confirmed their intention to defend their girls’ title after entries closed for the 2015 Champs.

The local team will be in contention for their third consecutive victory at the Manchester Aquatics Centre on 17 and 18 October.

But there will be another seven teams vying for the crown, including last year’s bronze medallists and North West rivals City of Liverpool, for whom England U17 stars Emily Pyper and Molly Boniface-Ashton have been named in the initial squad.

In the boys’ event, City of Sheffield will return to the Championships for another shot at the U15 trophy after narrowly missing out on the top spot 12 months ago, while 2013 champions City of Manchester will also be in the mix.

Additional players may be added to entered teams between 12 noon on Thursday 24 September and 12 noon on Wednesday 7 October 2015.
