Manchester set for top seeding in U17 Finals

Exeter win U17 qualifiers

City of Manchester established themselves as the ones to beat after beating all three rivals at this weekend’s ASA National Age Group Water Polo Girls’ U17 Qualification group in Walsall.

While all four teams have already booked their place at next month’s Finals weekend, they were battling for seedings for the semi-finals.

And it was six-time champions City of Manchester who stood head-and-shoulders above the rest as they won all three matches over the weekend.

Having been denied a hat-trick of consecutive titles when they finished fourth last year, the North West outfit were in rampant mood in Walsall.

Top-scorer Anya Clapperton lead the way with 17 goals to take her overall tally to 29 from seven matches as Manchester finished with a goal difference of +18 from their three games.

Otter, City of Liverpool and Exeter all defeated each other to tie on two points overall.
