London Otter will renew their rivalry with Rotherham Metro after the two were drawn in Group A of the Girls’ ASA National Age Group Water Polo U15 Championships.
Otter are aiming to become just the second team to win back-to-back titles in the girls’ U15 age group.
City of Manchester achieved the feat in 2013 and 2014 before Otter won their maiden crown in Manchester 12 months ago.
The London side have continued their surge to the top of the domestic game this season, with the U19 squad winning the national age group title in April.
But their hopes of holding all three age group titles at the same time fell short in the U17 age group this year. After a semi final defeat to eventual runners-up Exeter, Otter lost 5-2 to Rotherham in the bronze medal match.
Rotherham themselves have tasted defeat in the bronze match in recent years, finishing fourth in the U15 age group 12 months ago.
Cheltenham and 2010 champions Tyldesley are also in Group A with the top two teams set to progress to the semi-finals.
Local rivals Manchester and Liverpool drawn in Group B
Three-time champions City of Manchester and local rivals City of Liverpool are both drawn in Group B, alongside Newton Abbot and Otter Futura.
Liverpool have never failed to place outside the top three after winning the inaugural crown 2009, and finished runners-up to Otter last year.
Meanwhile, Manchester will be looking to bounce back after finishing ninth as they pursued a third consecutive title 12 months ago.
