Disney Inspired Session Activator Training – Mickey and Friends – Online Training – Online
This CPD is for pools participating in the Disney Family Fun Programme Only.
The CPD will be delivered in an online classroom environment using Zoom Online meeting Software. The session will provide you with all the information you need about becoming an Activator for the Disney Inspired Family Fun Swim Sessions.
The 12 month programme kicked off in June 2019 with some of Disney’s most-loved characters, including Buzz and Woody from Disney•Pixar’s Toy Story. Next is Disney’s Mickey Mouse and Friends plus key characters from the upcoming Disney Frozen 2.
The training will provide Activators with the skills to deliver a 45 minute swim session themed around core aquatic skills and Disney magical story telling aimed at families with children aged between three and eleven-years-old.
Who is the course designed for?
This course is designed for individuals experienced in creating and delivering innovative and fun activities for a range of ages and abilities. A Swim England Level 2 Teaching Swimming qualification is desirable, but not essential.
To take part in this course, you must be nominated by your participating pool.
Course content
During the online session, you will be required to participate fully in the training and willing to perform a selection of the activities requested by your online tutor.
You will learn about:
- Full overview of the programme
- Mickey and Friends characters introduction
- How to deliver 12 themed activities – focused on core aquatic skills and Disney storytelling
- Roles and responsibilities of an Activator
In order to use this online meeting software, learners will need internet access, a laptop or tablet device with a webcam, microphone and speakers, with an up to date browser, Chrome or Internet Explorer.
