The FINA World Aquatics Championships 2019 take place in Gwangju, South Korea from 12 – 28 July 2019.

The pool swimming events will be hosted in the Nambu Univ. Municipal Aquatics Center over eight days from Sunday 21 – Sunday 28 July.

Great Britain finished second in the medal table at the last World Championships in Budapest two years ago, scooping seven medals including golds in the 50m Breaststroke (Adam Peaty), 100m Breaststroke (Peaty), 50m Butterfly (Ben Proud) and men’s 4x200m Freestyle Relay.

Peaty and Proud will lead the team again in South Korea, with 18 English swimmers forming the backbone of the 25-strong British team.

Nick Pyle and Tom Dean are among the youngsters making their World Championship debuts in Gwangju, with next year’s Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games shining brightly on the horizon.
