Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) – Swim England Assistant Swimming Coach – Online

RPL is an assessment only you can take to gain a Swim England Assistant Swimming Coach certificate if you already possess the skills and knowledge needed.

You will be asked to provide relevant and sufficient evidence that you meet the criteria laid out in the certificate specification. Those who decide to join RPL are given 4 weeks to gather their evidence and upload it to their workspace; this will include videoing yourself coaching participants so please make sure you have their permission beforehand.

Who is RPL designed for?

Anyone who already has experience of assisting swimming coaches and can provide evidence of meeting the certificate specification without tutor support or learning resources.

You must be at least 16 years of age at the start of the course.

You will have experience of working as an assistant coach and must have a good level of English, with both written and verbal communication skills.
