Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) – Swim England Level 2 Teaching Swimming – Online

RPL is an assessment only route you can take to gain a Swim England Level 2 Teaching Swimming qualification if you already possess the skills and knowledge needed.

Prior to booking on to this programme you will need to complete an initial assessment . If you successfully pass this stage you will then be able to book your place.

You will be asked to provide relevant and sufficient evidence that you meet the criteria laid out in the qualification specification. Those who decide to join RPL are given 4 weeks to gather their evidence and upload it to their workspace; this will include videoing yourself teaching participants so please make sure you have their permission beforehand.

Who is RPL designed for?

Anyone who already has experience of teaching swimming using the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme and can provide evidence of meeting the qualification specification without tutor support or learning resources.

Swim England Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) – Blended Learning

An ASA Level 1 Award in Teaching Aquatics or an equivalent ASA qualification taken in or after 1994.

You will have experience of working as a swimming teacher and must have a good level of English, with both written and verbal communication skills.
