Support Teacher and Teacher of School Swimming CPD – Medway Park – Ryan Neal

These CPD courses will equip you to plan, deliver and evaluate school swimming lessons in line with the national curriculum.

The Support Teacher of School Swimming CPD is for school staff or volunteers who will be supporting a school swimming and water safety programme. The CPD gives learners the skills and knowledge to effectively support a school swimming and water safety programme. The course content covers how to actively assist a more qualified teacher in teaching core aquatic skills and national curriculum requirements to individuals or small groups whilst remaining under the direct supervision of more qualified teaching staff in line with the pools risk assessment and Pool Safety Operating Procedure (PSOP).

Once completed, the Teacher of School Swimming will equip you to plan and evaluate school swimming and water safety lesson plans in line with the national curriculum, and teach independently in a school swimming programme, in line with the swimming lesson providers risk assessment and pool safety operating procedures.

Prerequisites:

The Support Teacher of School Swimming is a CPD open to anyone over the age of 18 years who works or volunteers in a school or education environment. This training enables learners to actively assist within the context of a school swimming and water safety programme.
