Swim England Aquatic Skills Framework Stages 8-10 Diving – Inspire: Luton Sports Village

This CPD is designed to equip Swimming Teachers with the technical knowledge to deliver FUNdamental diving skills from the poolside. It covers basic diving positions, dry land practices, key teaching points and enable them to deliver the Swim England Aquatic Skills Framework Stages 8,9,10 Diving

This is a CIMSPA Endorsed CPD and you will gain 2 points for attending.

Who is the CPD designed for?
This CPD is aimed at SEQ Level 2 swimming teachers.

Delivery format
This is a 4 hour CPD and will include a 3 hour interactive workshop and 1 hour pool time.

Content
During this session, you will learn about:

• The Swim England Learn to Swim and Aquatic Skills Frameworks
• The basics of diving including take-offs and diving shapes
• An understanding of the health and safety requirements related to teaching diving
• An understanding of the skills contained in Stages 8-10 Diving
• Common technique faults and their corrections

Prerequisites:

You must be at least 16 years of age at the start of the course.

Learners will require a Level 2 swimming teaching qualification, in order to assess these stages in their workplace.
