Swim England Assistant Swimming Coach – Theory Only – Online

As an aspiring coach, this course will equip you with the knowledge and tools to actively support a swimming coach in the delivery of a planned training session.

Training format
While pools were closed, we adapted this certificate and split the theory and practical elements into two courses:

  1. Theory – This will be delivered online through interactive e-learning.
  2. Practical – This will start with two zoom webinars to cover some practical topics and your venue orientation. You will then go on to do one or more, half-day practical training session at the pool and have a final webinar with your tutor.

This course is the first half and covers the theory only.

The specialist e-learning is split into bite-sized pieces, so you don’t have to do it all in one go. This will mean you can work through the course online at home, at your own pace.

Once you have completed your theoretical training you will then be able to book on to your practical session which will include more course content, your practical training session and assessment at the pool.

Course fees
As this certificate is split into theory and practical sessions, we are splitting the course fee into two separate payments.

When you start the course and begin your online learning, you will only have to pay £100.

Once you have finished all the theory, you can book your practical session and make your final payment of £250. The final payment may be reduced to £100 if you are part of a Swim England Club and we have a Club Offer course available.
