This CPD course is designed to help qualified baby and toddler swimming teachers understand the connection between childhood development milestones and learn to swim education. The session delves into how developmental milestones, from motor skills to cognitive awareness, shape a child’s ability to engage in aquatic environments.

What will I learn? 
 
During this course you will learn: 
 
What child development milestones are
The child development milestones for 0 to 6 months, 6 to 12 months, 12 to 18 months, 18 to 24 months, 2 to 3 years, 3 to 4 years, and 4 to 5years
Examples of swimming activities that would be appropriate for each age group
Teaching strategies for different ages
Learning plateaus and how to overcome them
 
What happens next? 
  
Following the completion of your course, it will take six to eight weeks for your certificate to be issued. An electronic copy of your certificate will be emailed to you.
