Swim England/Institute of Swimming are seeking an Administration and Operations Lead to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Institute of Swimming work in conjunction with Swim England as a subsidiary, and exist for the good of the sport; developing the best aquatic professionals is our priority.
We are the largest provider of Swim England qualifications and aquatics courses and we train over 60 per cent of all swimming teachers in the UK.
We are seeking an experienced Administration and Operations Lead to join our team on a permanent full time basis. With a flexible working schedule to suit both the ideal applicant and the business needs. Please specify your ideal work pattern (to cover the 35 hours) upon application.
The role is based working from home currently until our offices reopen, when they do you would split your time between home working and office working depending on your workload and team requirements.
Reporting to the Head of Institute of Swimming, you will be responsible for managing the Institute’s administration and customer service provision – which is fast paced and can be challenging. You will be working to ensure that our customers enjoy the best possible experience on their learning journey with us, and that our administration back office processes work well and support that learner experience. Within this role, you would be responsible for managing the course administration team, ensuring that all course administration and logistics are up to date and courses can run effectively. You will also act as an escalation point for queries from customers and identify solutions to new and existing IT systems challenges that are involved in the operational delivery of the Institute’s courses and CPD’s.

The successful candidate must:
- Demonstrate excellent administration, communication and organisational skills
- Demonstrate a high level of computer literacy with proven experience of work processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint and email
- Bring a calm controlled manner to difficult situations, whilst being assertive and making your point
- Be ready to work in a fast paced and (sometimes) complex environment
- Have experience in managing/supervising a team or administrators
