Swim England based in Loughborough is seeking a Club Development Officer to join their team based in the South West office in Wellington on a 12 month fixed term contract. 

Swim England is the national governing body for swimming in England. We help people learn how to swim, enjoy the water, and compete in our sports of swimming, diving, water polo and synchronised swimming.

This is an exciting opportunity working within the Club Development Department as part of a busy team you will be responsible for increasing the talent pool and membership levels by ensuring effective, self-sustaining clubs across the region.

Reporting to the Club Development Director you will be responsible for maintaining and growing clubs and SwimMark accreditation and regularly updating KPIs and progress with club engagement activities. You will also encourage clubs to integrate into effective pathways for development of talent and retention, ensuring they have appropriate status, governance and structures in place. All facets of workforce development are key to this role, maintaining effective and appropriate workforce across our clubs, supporting them to recruit, train and retain.

The successful candidate must:

  • Have previous experience in Sports Development or a leisure background
  • Have experience of working with volunteers and clubs
  • Have an understanding of Leisure Services, Sport Development and Swimming
  • Be computer literate with knowledge of all Microsoft Office Packages
