YMCA Club in London is looking to recruit a high-calibre Swimming Coordinator to join our team. YMCA Club is our London gym and as the site of the very first YMCA, it’s also our innovation hub. The gym remains the largest in the capital and it’s where we develop our pioneering new techniques and ideas.
About the Role:
The Swimming Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of a quality and fun swimming programme for children and young people.
You will need to build strong rapport with members, visitors and staff, as well as ensuring that members’ health and fitness needs are met in line with the Club's operational strategy and the Charity’s vision, mission and strategic aims.
You will also proactively develop and maintain strong working relationships with partner schools, the swimming instructor team and all Central YMCA colleagues.
As well as being passionate about the fitness industry, you will have relevant fitness related work experience, a flexible, honest and open approach to working, along with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Substantial swimming instructing experience.
- Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification – essential
- Experience of working with children and Young people - essential
- NPLQ Lifeguard qualification – desirable
- Flexible to work Saturdays per month
