Apex Swimming Club in the United Arab Emirates is looking for highly passionate, motivated and dedicated full-time swimming teachers to be based in Dubai.  Successful candidates will be required to teach or coach the Apex Swimming Club programme at our main venues.

The responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Work alongside PE department of schools within District 1, to structure the Curriculum, ECA and Swim Squad for all ages
  • Deliver swimming lessons to all ages and abilities
  • Build and oversee the after-school swimming programme for various groups of participants including learn to swim 
  • Support the entire aquatics programme, deliver lessons and promote the business
  • Attending to general enquiries and taking payments from customers
  • Completing general admin duties
  • Planning and evaluating lesson plans using the Apex Swimming Club Scheme of Work

 

The position is full-time and based in Dubai, UAE, starting 1st September 2019.  The total package, including all allowances will be in the region of £28k to £32k (dependant on exchange rate).  Included within the job role comes medical insurance, provided by the employer and a return air ticket to your home country once per year.

 

Requirements for the role:

  • Teaching: Level 2 Swimming Teaching or Level 2 Award in Teaching Aquatics
  • Coaching: Level 2 Award in Coaching Swimming/Swimming Coach Certificate
  • NPLQ or NRASTC certificate
  • Experience teaching both adults and children to swim
  • Experience within a club setting
  • Experience teaching 'Adult and Child' lessons
  • First Aid qualified
  • Fluent English spoken and written level
  • Full I.T. literacy – word, excel, powerpoint, outlook
  • Clean DBS or Police check
  • Full driving license
  • Degree (preferable)
