Swim England East Midlands and Swim England West Midlands Young Volunteer Programme is back!

Our second programme of 2022 will take place on SUNDAY 19th JUNE, where we will beholding two sessions; one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Each session will be for100 Young Volunteers (50 per Region).

The Young Volunteer Programme is made up of 3 modules; Leadership & Club Management, Events and Officiating. For each module you will need to attend a workshop delivered by the Region (Sunday 19th June AM or PM session), complete a self-learn section and complete a practical element.

To be eligible to apply:

  • You must be between the ages of 14 – 17 (age as of 19th June 2022)
  • You must be a registered member of a Midlands club.

Club Mentor:
Before signing up please check with your club that they are happy for you to volunteer within the club and they are able to provide you with a Club Mentor. A Club Mentor may vary in position from club to club, the Mentor could be someone in any of the following roles (but not limited to):

  • Coach / Teacher
  • Volunteer / Workforce Coordinator
  • Club Committee Member

When signing up you will be asked to provide details of your Mentor. Please note Club Mentors will be expected to attend a training session on Wednesday 15th June 2022 at 6pm.

Please use the respective link above to book your place on either the morning or afternoon session – we would advise that you book your place as soon as possible as this is a very popular programme! This programme works on a first come, first served basis. If the survey is showing as closed before the deadline date then unfortunately the programme is now full. Sign ups will close on the 10th June 2022, or earlier, if all the spaces are filled before then.
