Institute of Swimming advice and guidance regarding coronavirus (COVID-19)

You will all be aware of the current situation with the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19).

The health and wellbeing of anyone who attends or supports our courses are of paramount importance to everyone at the Institute of Swimming.

The Institute of Swimming is currently following the latest guidance from the Government and Public Health England and is advising its customers and members to do the same.

Your training

We are reviewing our courses and the government’s guidance every day and are aiming to give everyone at least seven days’ notice if we have to postpone the face to face elements of their course.

Specific information regarding forthcoming courses and seminars will be issued as necessary to those who are due to attend. Find out more.

Our customers are reminded to follow the necessary hygiene precautions to help reduce the risk of infection.

These include washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze and do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean.

Most importantly, if you feel unwell or need to self-isolate, please do not attend the course you are booked on to and follow the latest NHS guidance. We are viewing this as an ‘exceptional circumstance’ as per our general terms and conditions.
