Swimming Teachers Take Note: New Webinar on Teaching Diving in Swimming Lessons

SEQ Level 1 or 2 Swimming Teachers looking to improve their skills and knowledge can now take part in a new 3-hour webinar: ‘Introduction to Teaching Diving for Learn to Swim’. Delivered via Zoom, this Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course is designed to enable swimming teachers to teach diving entries within a Learn to Swim environment and covers all the progressive steps from teaching a streamlined push and glide, to a racing dive from a diving block.

The webinar covers a range of topics, including the different phases of a dive, basic dive techniques, the relationship between diving and the Learn to Swim and Aquatic Skills Stages, and key safety considerations.

The course has been created by Institute of Swimming Programme Leader for Teaching and Tutor, Stuart Blair:

“Diving is an exciting and dynamic aspect of swimming, and teaching it correctly is essential for ensuring safe and enjoyable experiences for learners,” says Stuart Blair, writer of the CPD. “In this webinar, I aim to share my knowledge and experience with swimming teachers and help them develop the skills and confidence they need to effectively teach diving within a Learn to Swim environment.”

As more teachers take advantage of our online courses, this CPD focuses on the critical skill of teaching diving and its relationship to the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework and beyond. Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your skills and deepen your understanding of diving entries.
